This mountain retreat sits at 8,200', on the northeast side of Pyramid Peak, along Ripple Creek Pass. The fenced 37 acres includes pines, aspens and open meadows of wildflowers. The East Fork of the Williams Fork runs through this property and spring water is run to the cabin for domestic use. The cabin was built in 1997, with large south facing windows to accommodate the lovely view and passive solar warmth. On the main level there is an open kitchen, dining, living area, as well as one bedroom, 3/4 bathroom and storage space. Upstairs is a loft area and a second spacious bedroom. The cabin is tied to a generator, providing electric and heated by forced air. There is also a propane free-standing stove in the living room. Outside the cabin, you will enjoy the wrap around porch, shady picnic spots, storage shed and loafing shed with corrals. This property is accessed from Meeker, Hamilton, Hayden, Oak Creek and Yampa - on graveled roads. Winter access is by snowmobile or cross country skiing. On the Meeker side of the pass, the first 30 miles are maintained year round, leaving about 23 miles snowed in. On the north access from Hamilton, Hayden, Oak Creek and Yampa, they plow to about 2 miles from the cabin. This property is located in Colorado Game Unit 12, a fantastic location for elk, moose, deer, and bear.
